Search files/folders in real time
Fsearch: search engine for local files, which I get.
Searching files by name is fastest with fsearch. This is a GUI program that indexes your files allowing it to search super fast (it searches faster than Google), by file names. The advantage compared to other search programs under Linux is that it works with wildcards (* and ?) by default, which are simpler than regular expressions (it can also work with it if you want).
Another advantage is that you can indicate which folders it should index, so it can also be a different drive than your home folder.
In addition to wildcards, it also understands AND, OR and NOT as boolean operators.
